Bryce, gave her a childhood steeped in the contrasts of high-culture urban New York and the lush forests of Vermont on her grandparents farm.  The contrast of the natural world and the urban mosaic continue to inform her sensibility to this day: a sense of color and balance, rhythm and stillness.
