Take Action to Stop Discrimination in Compensation!

This Thursday December 12th the Victims of Crime Compensation Fund (CalVCP) Board will be meeting to vote on possibly changing the discriminatory regulations that prevent sex workers who are victims of rape from receiving financial support for housing, mental health services, relocation, or healthcare just like any other victim.

We are asking our community to testify and show support at the Board meeting.  Join St. James Infirmary staff, along with US PROS, SWOP and other members of the Sex Worker community in Sacramento for a press conference at 8:45am just prior to the Board meeting , or you can call in and voice your concerns during the meeting.  You can call in and let CalVCP know you support the removal of this discriminatory regulation and say why, at 916-491-3600 or 800-777-9229.
